A Backstepping Controller Based on a Model-Assisted Extended State Observer for a Slice Rotor Supported by Active Magnetic Bearings

To improve the robustness of a slice rotor system supported by active magnetic bearings (AMBs), here, we propose backstepping controller based on model-assisted extended state observer (MESO-BC). Based generalized (GESO), is studied with consideration linear model AMBs. The can estimate unknown disturbances bearing system, such as inaccuracy and external disturbance, superior to respect observation errors speed convergence errors. In addition, it compared (GESO-BC) conventional adaptive (ABC), simulation experimental results verify effectiveness proposed method. demonstrate that overshoot MESO-BC decrease 5.94% 13.2% GESO-BC ABC under effect pulse respectively, displacement reduce 40.3% 54.6% sinusoidal respectively.
